Kaum in Nicaragua geraten wir in den ersten Wolkenbruch. Die Regenzeit kündigt sich an. Selbst die einheimischen Fahrer bleiben stehen und warten ab. Es ist beeindruckend, welche Wassermassen da herabstürzen, und es fällt nicht schwer sich auszumalen, wie schnell sich hier ein bedrohliches Szenario entwickeln kann:

So eine Situation erzeugt Stress. Vor allem, wenn man darauf eigentlich nicht vorbereitet ist. In meinem Eifer, das Geschehen filmen zu wollen, bitte ich Clemen, das Fenster aufzumachen. Dass damit massenhaft Wasser in unser Auto stürzt, bedenken wir beide nicht. Die Hefte mit den Tagebucheinträgen von Clemen und ihr „Wunder-Kurs“ werden pitschnass. Vor Schreck vergesse ich die Kamera abzuschalten und filme – ohne es zu wollen – unseren aufflammenden Streit. Die Bilder sind wirr, der Streit heftig wie der Wolkenbruch.

El tiempo de lluvia empieza (caudalosamente)

Ni bien entramos a Nicaragua aparecen las primeras nubes cargadas. Se anuncia la época de lluvia. Incluso los viajeros nicaragüenses paran y esperan a que pase el chubasco. Es impresionante la cantidad de agua que cae. Es fácil imaginarse cuán rápido puede crearse aquí un escenario amenazante:

Una situación así genera estrés. Sobre todo cuando no se está preparado para eso. En mi locura por filmar todo le pido a Clemen que abra la ventana. Ninguno de los dos contó con la cantidad de agua que iba a entrar al auto, los cuadernos de apuntes diario de Clemen y su curso de milagros que hace peligraban.

De puro susto olvido apagar la cámara que siguió filmando nuestro ¨pleito¨. Las imágenes son confusas, el pleito como el chubasco

The rainy season begins (with a storm)

Hardly have we arrived in Nicaragua, when we get into the first torrential downpour. The rainy season is about to start. Even the local drivers stop their cars and wait. It is impressive how much water is pouring down, and it is not difficult to imagine how quickly something like that can evolve into a threatening scenario.

A situation like that causes stress. Especially if you are not really prepared for that. In my eagerness to film, what is going on outside, I ask Clemen to open the side window. None of us is considering, how this will allow “tons” of water to pour into our car. Clemen’s diary and her “Course of Miracles” get soaked immediately. I am so scared, that I forget to switch of the camera and continue shooting – not knowing it –the argument, which flares up. The pictures are a muddle, the argument is aggressive like the rain storm we are in.
