Die Magellanstraße trennt den südamerikanischen Kontinent von der Grande Isla de Tierra de Fuego, mit der Hauptstadt Ushuaia (Link). Ushuaia selbst liegt am Beagle Kanal, der die Insel im Süden begrenzt.

Wir machen eine Schiffstour Richtung Osten. Unterwegs können wir nicht nur die unglaubliche Landschaft bewundern, sondern bekommen auch einen kleinern Eindruck von der Vielfalt der Tierwelt in dieser subantarktischen Zone:

El Estrecho de Magellanes separa el continente sud americano de la Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego con la capital Ushuaia. Ushuaia misma está situada en la costa del Canal de Beagle, donde termina la isla en el sur.

Hicimos un tour en un catamarán en el canal hacia el este. En el camino no solamente podemos admirar el paraje increíble, pero también obtuvimos una impresión pequeña de la variedad del la fauna en esta zona subantártida.

The Beagle Canal

The Strait of Magellan separates the south American continent from the Isla Grande del Tierra de Fuego with the capital Ushuaia. Ushuaia itself is sitting on the coast oft he Beagle canal, which limits the island in the south.

We take a tour on a catamaran through the Beagle Canal eastwards. On the way we cannot only admire the breathtaking landscapes, but also get a small impression of the rich wildlife in this sub Antarctic zone at the end oft he world.
