Ähnlich wie Huarmey liegt auch Pacasmayo am Straßenrand: ein paar Kilometer abseits von der Panamericana direkt an der Pazifikküste. Und ähnlich wie Huarmey ist auch Pacasmayo ein Fischerstädtchen, das auf den ersten Blick einen traurigen Eindruck macht:

Ganz oben, wo der Christus seine Arme ausbreitet, ist der Friedhof, sozusagen mit Fernblick, und mit einer sehenswerten Wandmalerei an der Friedhofsmauer.

Aber unten am Strand ist Leben. Hier hat der Tourismus Einzug gehalten. Hauptsächlich Surfer kommen hier her. Und es gibt eine schöne Uferpromenade. Wir genießen den kurzen Zwischenstopp auf einer Terrasse des besten Hotels am Ort mit einem Pisco Sour, einer Portion Papa al la Huancaína und einem wunderbaren Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang am Pazifikstrand:

Parecido a Huarmey Pacasmayo también se encuentra a lado de la carretera: en este caso unos pocos kilómetros de distancia de la panamericana en la costa del Pacifico. Y parecido a Huarmey Pacasmayo también es una pequeña ciudad de pescadores, que parece un poco triste en el primer momento:

Muy arriba el Cristo con los brazos abiertos saludando se encuentra el cementerio con vista al mar – por así decirlo – y un mural impresionante alrededor.

Pero abajo al lado de la playa está la vida. Acá se ha instalado cómodamente el turismo. Son surfistas de todo el mundo, que vienen acá en busca de las buenas olas. Y vemos un malecón bonito. Nosotros disfrutamos nuestro estadía corta en Pascamayo en una terraza de un buen hotel con un pisco sour, algo porción de papa a la huancaína y una mirada espectacular al mar del Pacífico y uno de sus atardeceres famosos.

Like Huarmey Pacasmayo is also located at the roadside: a couple of miles away from the Panamericana on the coast of the Pacific. And like Huarmey Pacasmayo is also a little fisher town, which looks somewhat sad at the first glance.

Up on the hill, where a statue of Jesus Christ opens his arms over the sea, there is the cemetery with ocean view – so to say – and a great wall painting around it.

But down at the beach there is the life. Here tourism has found its way into the small town. It is mainly surfers who come here. And there is a small but nice beach boulevard. We enjoy our short stop over in Pacasmayo on the terrace of the best hotel in town with a pisco sour, a nice dish of papa huancaína and a wonderful view of one of the famous sunsets over the Pacific.
